This retro vintage platinum ring is absolutely one of a kind! It features a halo of 1 carat of F/G SI quality modern round cut diamonds, surrounding a 1.70 carat natural antique diamond pear shape center, and .75 carats of baguettes on the shank. While this ring is vintage, it is unusual to find that it was made with an original antique cut diamond center.
I am able to confirm that the diamond is old, because it has an open culet as well as a bruted (also sometimes called "frosted") girdle. The larger faceting on the pear is so charming, and it has no bowtie which is also so refreshing to fine. The quality of the pear is approximately K color SI1 clarity to be conservative but it faces up very white. There are no noticable inclusions. Please note that this diamond has not been to GIA as I do not want to remove it from the original mounting but I am very experience at grading diamonds.
Diamond measurements: 12.21x6.08x3.53mm
Overall meaurements: 23.12 x 15.06mm with a 6.58mm rise off the finger. The shank measures 2.69mm.
